On June 23 to 26, 2015, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) through the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) successfully launched the 1st National Integrated Waste Management Summit and Exhibit held at the Skydome SM North EDSA.

The 2016 2nd National Integrated Waste Management Summit and Exhibit aims at offering practical tools and solutions to help address the waste management challenges of national and local stakeholders while addressing current and emerging real-world environmental challenges of the Philippines.

It highlights the important role played by the different sectors of society on strategic environmental education, environmental management and sustainable development to reduce waste, improve processes, and increase knowledge management, business value, and productivity. It hopes to connect all stakeholders who are passionate about the environment to come up with concrete actions for our environment. It will showcase how all sectors of society are currently working towards addressing integrated waste management issues while highlighting sustainable development goals for all.

It is looking back at what we have done so far and what we hope to achieve in the near future. It is honoring the accomplishments of our leaders and welcoming the innovations of those who will still lead.

It will showcase the synergy of science, politics, business and the environment through speeches, presentations and lectures in the 4-day event from June 21 to 24, 2016 at the SM MegaTrade Halls 1 & 2.
